Veterinary Nurse

Sharmaine studied at Stirling University and in 2005 gained a BA Hons. After graduating, she moved to Merseyside to pursue her vocation in Veterinary Nursing. After working as an auxiliary nurse for a year she received an apprenticeship role at the Willows Vet Group and qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in 2014.

In 2015 she relocated to Scotland and continued her role in her chosen career. Sharmaine worked in general practice and very quickly adapted to the new working environment, soon becoming a Clinical Coach and SQP (Suitably Qualified Person) through AMTRA (Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority).

Sharmaine has an interest and enthusiasm for all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and sought consolidation in a surgical nursing role at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2018. She continues to develop in a referral role and has joined VSS as a Night Nurse

Sharmaine enjoys reading fantasy fiction and watching nature documentaries in her spare time. She loves to take new walks with her canine companion and best friend English Bull Terrier cross dog Kaiser.
