Debbie completed her level 3 diploma at North Highland College Thurso in 2015, initial work experience to weekend animal care assistant to follow through to become qualified within a busy first opinion mixed practice in Aberdeenshire. Started her referral career at Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals in 2016, transferring to Broadley’s Veterinary Hospital in Stirling in 2018 where she rotated between cardiology, orthopaedic, medicine and neurology services prior to moving to Veterinary Specialists Scotland in 2020.
Debbie soon new that advanced veterinary nursing was her passion, growing daily and advancing skills throughout her nursing career, encouraging the recognition of strengths within nursing care and individuals. Patient care is a massive focus and want to develop and provide best care to our furry friends.
Debbie has recently completed her AVN Cert in surgery at Harper Adams University September 2025, alongside her fulltime position within Veterinary Specialists Scotland. She has a passion to advance and utilise her skills within surgery, giving the best possible care for our patients across the services we provide.
She has a crazy cocker spaniel “Willow” who has been a great addition to her life since 2025, outside of work likes to go adventures, spend time with family and friends and follow Scottish Rugby.
