Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Service
Our experienced Emergency and Critical Care Team provide an expert referral service for all cases that need to be seen immediately because they are urgent and possibly life-threatening. The team works closely with the specialists in our other services, providing a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach.
Upon arrival, patients will be immediately assessed. Critical patients will be stabilised and cared for in our intensive care unit (ICU) until they have made a full recovery or are stable enough to be transferred to the appropriate service for treatment.
The ECC service accepts all kinds of emergency presentations, including (but not limited to):

Patients in need of complex medical therapy, e.g.
