Debbie Morland

Debbie qualified as a veterinary nurse from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 1994. After two years she moved to general practice before returning to the Dick Vet. She achieved her Advanced Diploma in Medical Nursing in 2002.

During an exchange programme with Murdoch University, Australia, Debbie developed her passion for emergency and critical care nursing. She returned to The University of Edinburgh in 2003 as Deputy Head Nurse. She has worked at Telford College in Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed teaching the next generation of veterinary nurses. She also completed her assessor and internal verifier qualifications.

Debbie has loved the variety and opportunities to learn and develop provided by her 29 years of veterinary nursing. She joined Veterinary Specialists Scotland in May 2020 and finds this new challenge ignites her enthusiasm with a new building, new team mates and the prospect of providing exceptional patient and client care.
