Joni qualified as a vet from The University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, Slovakia in 2015. After working for two years in a mixed general practice in the south east of Sweden, he moved to Cambridgeshire where he enrolled in a rotating internship in a large multidisciplinary referral hospital.
In 2019, shortly after finishing his internship he moved to Ghent, Belgium to undertake a residency in small animal surgery. He joined the VSS team in 2022. Joni enjoys all aspects and challenges of referral orthopaedics with a particular interest in fracture management, minimally invasive approaches and joint replacement.
Outside of work, Joni enjoys travelling, spending time outdoors and spoiling the family dogs Louis and Lex.
